Paul Adolf Seehaus - Order a master of August Macke's rank
Paul Adolf Seehaus may not be as famous as other old masters. Nevertheless, the artist, who was discovered and promoted by Macke, convinces with a beautiful color palette and great painting technique. As a graduate, even a doctor of art history, the painter explored the art currents Cubism, Fauvism and Futurism, which were common in his day. "Madonna of the Suburb" also shows as a framed copy of his ability to dissect a non-personalized female figure into geometric shapes. At the same time, the dynamic represented by concentric circles and rays on the right-hand side indicates Futurism, which glorified the movement and energy of machines.
Effective paintings for different rooms
With a canvas painting by Paul Adolf Seehaus you buy a work of art that emphasizes a pleasant atmosphere in many rooms and invites you to look at it again and again. This artist knows about the power of colors! Consider the 1918 resulting work "Bilderbogen". The color palette is friendly and positive, the light plays a big role, although there are no effects of light and shadow. But as watercolor, the colors in blue, green, earth and red shines in fascinating power. Many details can be discovered: in the foreground a baroque church with a horn blowing figure, ships on the river and the sea, details of a bridge, a fish on the top of a tower, hills and cityscapes.
Art that leaves nobody cold
There are artists whose works appeal directly. Is it the colors? Is it the naturalness with which these painters translate their life into their own imagery? Find out! At weewado you will also find a picture that is privately owned and will never be seen in a museum. A good example of this is "harbor". Seehaus actually designed a fairytale scene in lush green and red tones. As if protecting one's arms, a cube-like city is grouped around a natural harbor, which creates a contrast between "inside" and "outside" through jetties and sailing boats. Again, the circled, dynamic movement is unmistakable!
Still life desired?
Then order as canvas on weewado "cactus and carafe". The modern-looking still life inspires in many ways. On the one hand Seehaus chooses a rich color palette that works with the complementary colors red and green. On the other hand, the composition is interesting: The table seems to slide from right to left in the scene, from a pot "flows" a cloth like water over the edge of the table and in the background describes the wooden beam again a semicircular arc.
Great art with fascinating possibilities
Paul Adolf Seehaus was not a one-dimensional artist. This is proven by his writings as well as his different subjects. "Nocturnal mountain landscape" inspires in its bright colors, through perspective, with the differences in height and the momentum that this work radiates. Delicate accents set in black and the full moon in a wonderfully deep blue sky are reminiscent of the great Japanese artist Hokusai. Quite different, but no less fascinating is the "Portrait (Hans Simsa)". Here we encounter an almost intimate scene. A reading man who is described by Pfeife, Buch and his intensive reading attitude as an intellectual.
